Kol Nidre and Erev Yom Kippur Services
Congregation Bnai Maccabim, 28835 N. Herkey Drive, Green Oaks, IL
Kol Nidre is a prayer of confession that is chanted just prior to the beginning of services for Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). It is supposed to usher us into the last of the Days of Awe. Yom Kippur is a day of fasting and repentance, for ourselves and for the community. As a result there will not be any food or drink provided until the end of Yom Kippur, at which time we will have a congregational break fast.
