Passover is the first feast of the first month of the Biblical calendar. It is so important that Torah says that Jewish people who do not celebrate the Passover they cut themselves off from the community. As a result we at Congregation B'nai Maccabim want to make sure that everyone in the community has the opportunity to celebrate the Lord's Passover. In scripture Passover is to be celebrated in the home, with your family, or if possible with your neighbors joining you at the table. While this is the ideal, and it is our hope that the vast majority of you will be able to observe the Passover in this manner, we recognize that some of you simply don't have that as an option. As a result we are going to have a Seder at B'nai Maccabim for those of you who wich to attend. It is important that you let us know if you will be attending this Congregational Seder no later than April 2nd, so that we can make sure we have enough food for everyone. If you really cannot afford the cost for the meal please let us know and we will make arrangements to help you.
